Foxes are omnivorous, meaning they will eat both plants and animals. The tumesian fox got into all sorts of trouble in thebes. It stole eggs from hen houses, killed chickens, destroyed crops. Before long, people were demanding action from the king. He called upon an old friend whose wife had been given an enchanted hound as a gift from zeus himself. And so amphitu had his salution.
