The Importance of Citizens Participation in Politics
A lot of human democracies put a lot more emphasis on representation than participation. In the Netherlands, there's quite a large gap between politicians and citizens. It's hard to figure out how to democratically make decisions in the context of climate change. We have a nitrogen crisis, which is caused by intensive animal agriculture over here in the Netherlands.
