X-Ray Crystallography Is a Wonderful Example

X-ray crystallography is a marvelous example that you start by, so it's a kind of image processing. You get these images by scattering X-rays, but they're not at all like pictures. It's very, very indirect and coded information that you get, and you have to interpret it. And then that allows you to construct sort of small molecules and understand the motifs. So it's a beautiful kind of model or example of something that's very widespread.
