The Potential Benefits of Z Drugs Over Benzodiazepine

Z drugs are a little bit similar to benzodiazepines in that they're GABA A receptor modulators. Z drugs have been engineered to have a quick time of onset of action, which is important when you think about medications used for sleep. And thus, maybe there's less of a cognitive burden with the Z drugs as compared to the older Benzodiazepines.
