Larry Hogan is a popular Republican governor in a blue state. He talked about challenging Trump in 2020, showed up in New Hampshire and Iowa. Then he said, well, I'm not going to launch a suicide Michigan's Donald Trump. The idea of returning to the sunny optimism of Ronald Reagan just doesn't really exist in the real world of today's Republican.
