Is There a Difference Between Beauty and Aging?
There was a comparison photo that some woman posted of Madonna and her mother. When I looked at the side by side pictures, I just saw two women who had put a significant amount of aesthetic labor into cultivating a very specific look. And I think if we focus on the surface level look of the aesthetic instead of the labor that goes into creating both of those, like very different looks, we're focusing on the wrong thing.
