The commission has called for crypto firms to come in and register. It typically takes it over a 10 year span for most private companies to reach the point where they can become a full blown SCC registrar. There aren't really trading venues for tokens currently as I understand it for if they would be considered securities. NASDAQ doesn't take tokens for example.
