Brian Greene: Open access policy has to be very broad, going into a market full of clever people who are used to the mechanisms of capture. He says there's also quite a few years to plan this and I don't think it would even take that long. Greene: Societies worried about losing their revenue from having the crack dealership relationship with a publisher could make a leap by charging fees for members' expertise.
