The Cricoid Ring and the Pediatric Airway
There's always this controversy about where is the narrowest portion of the pediatric airway. The old knowledge base came from cataviric anatomical studies in the 1800s. MRI and other kinds of imaging, people have found that the glottis is probably actually a fairly small area of the airway in kids.
