The History of the Haytian Revolution

The history of the haytian revolution is little known. But it was one of the most fascinating and important revolutions in world history. The story begins when Columbus sailed to cuba, a small island off the coast of modern-day haiti. We will then talk about the three main groups who inhabited the colony: whites, free coloreds and slaves. Next week we'll spend some time talking about the insane web of tension between and within these groups.
