In 15 18, some very different ships were anchored in the turquoise waters of that tropical island. The spaniards who splashed ashore on to the white sands of cosmel were, at this point, outlaws. Little did they know, cortez and his men were trespassing in an area called tabasco. As the conquistidors were making their way up river, thousands of warriors descend on the tiny spanish expedition. Their darts, arrows and slings are no match for the steel swords, crossbows and breech loading cannons of the sp Spanish. And the tabascan chiefs quickly surrender to this strange but deadly handful of foreigners.
