Salvador Dali - A Caricature of Dali
Dali-Nian was an adjective Dali used to describe a scenario or image that fit his criteria for art. For example, he showed up dressed in a full antique diving suit with antlers and a wine glass glued to the top of the old-fashioned diving helmet. In Dali's world, truth is something to be adjusted, like the oil paint on a canvas, which you can push or pull before it dries and becomes set for all time. We will better understand the art of Dali and the persona he constructed by looking first to his childhood.
