The Air Force Academy

The Air Force Academy is a great case study for seeing how different teaching styles affect student performance. Students who loved their calculus one professors tended to do worse in advanced courses than the ones who learned from the less popular ones. The way we use testing as evaluation can be a real problem if you're incentivizing people to impart using procedures knowledge that can make kids do the best on the test but is not the best for long term development.
