I think that the chief error that benjamin bloom also studied was you skip the early years. The ideal performer never loses the motivation of the earlier stages. And i think it's always helpful to remember that in this research, where you have different motivations at different stages. But their deadly seriousness always erupts into childlike joy when they have an achievement.
