The Politics of Information
The right to information campaign in India came from public work schemes. The workers who worked on the public work site could not see their own records. So, by definition, this idea of information is about saying different people are presenting or saw this reality in different ways. It sort of opens up a political possibility of contrasting these different versions and using that to demand accountability of the state.
