And I think to understand the Conservative party, you have to understand that it really is a leadership-oriented party. That means that leaders are in an incredibly powerful position when they're doing well. When they're not doing well, it's actually fairly easy to depose of a Conservative party leader. We'll all remember 2017, when Theresa May was right front and centre in the Conservative Party's campaign. The people who didn't know quite how poor a campaign she could be was so convinced that they were going to win anyway
