Building Alliances With the Right People
Think about one person in your network right now with whom you might like to have a stronger alliance in. Reach out to them now, before you get laid off, or before you're looking for your next job. The mark pinkis these close friendships, relationships, allies. In the book, we call them friendlies. These are kind of the acquaintances. Wouldn't call them full on friends, but you cand of have a positive association. And helping can be as simple as sending them an article that's relevant to them.
