The Contempt of Freud in Contemporary Conservatism

There really isn't a space in American conservatism today for the agnostic, you know, secular Jewish right wing intellectual. So there's that. And then I would say what conservatism, especially like down at the at the ground level, not the sort of intellectual sphere, what it what it's offering is 'self help' Right? You're right, not therapy, certainly not psychoanalysis, but self help. But also and at the same time, so much of their work seems to involve a can and here I'm just talking in material terms, a contempt for what they call the culture of therapy, right? A contempt for a therapeutic counseling and just literally the dismantling of mental health care
