"I would be fine with it being either way," April says of school board races becoming more explicitly partisan. "What happens on the local level is what's most important and it affects the most important citizens ... And that's our children." To some extent, to make it a more partisan race, it helps those that are low information voters make a decision based upon what they believe, she adds.
