Introduction
Lena Aberafie is a global women's rights expert and gender equality advocate. She has spent more than two decades working to eradicate gender-based violence worldwide. Lena previously served as the Director of the Arab Institute for Women at the Lebanese American University. In 2018 and 2019, she was listed among the gender equality top 100 most influential people in global policy For me, being a woman, being a fighter, feeling very strongly about social justice before I could even put a label on it, feminism was my country. That's where my loyalty is.
