The Effects of Breastfeeding on the Propensity to Breastfeed
In general when you try to adjust for all of these other factors, the effects get smaller. That's what we see in those studies. But there must be other approaches. I could imagine a randomized trial where one group of women are encouraged and supported to breastfeed and another group of women aren't. And then you can measure whether there's some difference in the propensity to breastfeed. Has anyone tried to do that?
