Estonia regained its independence from the soviet union in 19 91. It immediately took great strides to distance ite from its pass and moved towards the west. Estonia joined both the european union and nato, and made great advances in digital technology. Yet even as estonia turned its focus westward, the country remained wary of what pluton was capable of.
