The most important job of the brain is to control your body by predict in energy needs before they arise, so you can efficiently make worth while movements and survive. I wouldn't fairly say that rationality is an happy phenomenon. The absence of feeling is not anatomically possible, actually, for a ner typical brain. We we misunderstand rationality, what it means to be rational, by starting with our everyday experience of the idea that tonality is the absence of feeling, or the absence of emotion.
