Call is that elusive, ever sought after, three way intersection between need, competency and joy. There's part of every job you don't really love, but there should be joy in competently addressing this need for you. The american drive, with all sincerity, is built on a competitive spirit, which turns our focus inward. It turns me in on myself. Self centeredness is a search for self gratification that drains all our work of its power. And then finally, there's no vocation that avoids duty. Altogether. This is vocational work
