Slack Has Eaten Them All

The reason that i think it took off, relative to a hip chat and kepfire and other tools at that time, is really a very basic feature. We kept what we call a cursor position, or like the most recent message you've read up to, in every single channel. So you could walk across the room, scrolling on your phone, sit down in your dess top, and you're in exactly the same position. And people forget that, until slack came along....
