The Limits of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
In cognitive behavioral therapy, we look at things like getting the causation wrong. The fear response is if we're not clear, let's make a very wide, just don't go anywhere in that area. But purpose and destination are probably more important than feelings when trying to navigate decisions. Emotions evolve to move us towards certain things, kind of repetitive behaviors or away from other things, aversive or avoidant behaviors.
