The Influence of the Early African Church on the Church in Africa
What was going on in Africa at that time was remarkable. It was undergoing a renaissance of the arts and letters. There's this literary renaissance going on with novelists like Apalaeus, playwrights like Terrence. And it was the African writers who were influencing the writers in the Italian peninsula. So we have that influence, the Latin liturgy beginning in North Africa and crossing the sea to end up in Rome as the Roman liturgical.
