Windbugs Was Great Compared to Regular Multi-Level Software
Windbugs was great compared to using regular multi-level software. But I agree that it was very tedious to use and difficult to make it work, especially because on the one hand you had to make the code for every model separately. And it was running forever also, so it was very, very hard to do simulation studies with it. This is why I was very excited when Bank Mutein and Tia O'Mir Asperou from MPlus approached me as a consultant. They were working on implementing dynamic structural equation modeling in MPlus.
