i think it's important for there actually to be atheists who write seriously about religion and belief, not in a patronising way. I did feel a little bad sone, you're so known for your atheism. i didn't know quite how to formullate that. But i'm glad you wouan't take offence. It's worth putting a pin in the kind of atheist you are. An its like some of the things you've mentioned, the need for community, for ritual, for communities that gather together and then also serve the broader community.
