How Did the Moai Move the Statue?

The Moai weighed scores of tons. How did they get these things from one place to another is a mystery. Palm trees are not the sturdiest trees on the planet. It took 12 people to move like a six or eight ton Moai 150 feet. Took them two minutes. So it's been a long standing mystery of how they did this.
