There's a bit of spoonerism behind this book, and Nozick did become having been a youthful socialist. He was very interested in libertarian, anarchist, and individualist thought. What he takes from Locke is the idea of natural rights that we have rights to our bodies, rights to our opinions,. But also crucially, rights to the things that we make, or to use the Lockean phrase, 'We own those things'
