What's the Point of Free Cash in a Company?
In the eight years up to the pandemic, disney had spent over eight billion dollars of free cash low on share by backs. The company looks at its share price, it has a lot of cash lying around and says, well, let's just buy shares we don't care if the price is high. That pumps the price up, which offers value to the shareholders. But the people you're really rewarding are your managers, who are primarily compensated in shares at low value. So they nobody.
