U-238 and U-235 Reactors

U-238 isn't fissile in its current form. It can be bred into a plutonium 239 and then uses fuel. Most reactors use about 5% U-235, but there's some types that use as much as 20%. Weapons grade enriched uranium is like 90 per cent U-235. But you can only get so much energy out of these with the conventional reactors. That's why there's now efforts to reprocess and recycle a lot of this fuel.
