The Power of First Person Storytelling
Stephanie Coontz: I felt completely freakish and alone because I could not see another first person story. And so when I was sitting in front of my computer literally trying to get books on Amazon, I said to myself, okay, if I'm able to heal from this thing at all, then it's my responsibility to try and write a book on this. So it was very mission oriented the entire time. It's really interesting Stephanie because it plays into a topic that Brooke and I were just talking about and that how trauma is is not an easy hook for publishers sometimes.
