When it comes to hypotension, your job is to determine whether or not the patient is in shock and if so, try to figure out what kind of shock. The most common reasons for hypotension are measurement or patient work for low baseline BP dehydration or hypogrelemia. When you're on the phone with the nurse, be sure to confirm that a recent full set of vitals has been done.
