The Effects of NPM on Dependencies

Every other language I've seen that has any sort of centralized repository, so or way of managing dependencies in automatic fashion like GoLang like Rust, there's a similar explosion ofdependencies. Like if you pull on one dependency and suddenly you've got 30 different libraries you're using that you didn't even realize are part of it. And it's not a bad thing, but I think that's just sort of a characteristic of languages that make it easy to use other people's stuff.
