I think it's really interesting to situate productivity in the story of Egyptian slavery because when you actually read the narrative in the Bible, it's very much like Pharaoh's like, you're not going to get straw. We're not here, but you're going to have to make the same amount of bricks. And it is so interesting, isn't it, that for as dehumanizing as slavery was, Israel was constantly pining for Egypt.
