India's Decision to Ramp Up Its Purchases of Oil From Russia in 2022

India was pressured to stop importing oil from Iran by the Trump administration, which suddenly reimposed sanctions on Iran. Europeans in fact continued to spend a lot more on oil and gas purchases from Russia throughout 2022 than India. Surely this does not indicate that Indians are indifferent to Russia's aggression against Ukraine? It does not at all indicate indifference in India to the plight of the Ukrainians.
