The Complexity of the Bronze Age
I think most people were living more simply than we tend to think about it. The archaeological record that we're looking at during this period ranges from big, well excavated sites that have been under study for generations. Some of these sites you might not even be able to find again. They only exist in reports from an earlier generation where people are recording a handful of shirts at a particular site. So we have to take that very diverse and very fragmentary data set and try to make some sense of it.
