Aspergillus
Aspergillus is all around us and we're probably breathing it in right now. For most people it doesn't cause any problems but if you have risk factors for disease, such as an underlying lung condition or immunosuppressive therapy that makes you vulnerable to infection. Aspergillus particularly likes the lungs as a place to cause disease because that's the point of entry when you breathe in spores. It can cause a chronic kind of lung infection and symptoms include a chronic cough, coughing up blood.
