The Power of Repentance

My very first homily, which has been posted online, I only say it because 30 years ago, I was ordained to the day he came in on. And we're going to engage in spiritual warfare, and the Spirit that is given to us is not a spirit of weakness, but of strength. Part of my preparing for the homily was looking at what Clement is talking about here in terms of comforter, paraclete, counselor. It's easy to fall into a kind of despair when we're falling into sin, and so unless we have the sense of the Spirit of being comforted, that leads us to repentance.
