Private RPC endpoints can be incorporated in various ways. Other wallets may choose to basically build that into the code so users may or may not be aware of that. We are working on an initiative that will be sharing more publicly at East Denver in a few weeks called Wallet Boost, which is basically an open network whereby this sort of thing can happen.
