Dave Davis played all the lead guitar. The group needed a full-time drummer. Avery was chosen by Ray and the management team, but Dave took an instant dislike to him. With Shell Talmy producing, Shel Naylor recorded Dave's One Fine Day,. A song which it's right to dismiss as a throwaway, but is actually quite catchy.
