The small bean snark subreddit has more than 14,000 members. It's a lightly moderated forum devoted to Instagram influencer Caroline Callaway. She first began her journey into D-list celebrity in 2012 when she was a student at Cambridge University and signed a book deal with Macmillan. In the early 2010s, this kind of influencing wasn't just friendly though; it was making influencers rich by bringing them from the new media world into the established media world.
