Cerebral Venous Thrombosis
Cerebral venous thrombosis can occur at any age, although it is more common in neonates and young adults 20 to 40 years old. It is one of the only causes of cerebral hemorrhage that calls for anticoagulation therapy. Antiborosis is difficult because the clinical manifestations are nonspecific such as headache, seizures, altered consciousness, and focal neurologic deficits. Radiologists must be able to identify the findings that raise suspicion of cerebral venousThrombosis so that appropriate treatment can be started early.
