The Black Hole Information Paradox

Quantu mechanics does allow energy to always be preserved t at a black hole. To have an exception at black holes means there might be aption somewhere else. That would just be a pretty different universe from the one we thought we lived in. Wouldn't be a catastrophe. We'd just have to figure out some new theory that accommodates that. And a lot of the assumptions we've been making would be wrong.
