Dr. Passachow is a second year EM faculty at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, Illinois. She says she struggled with anxiety and depression during her time as an emergency medicine resident. Her advocacy work comes from trying to get rid of stigmas that prevent people from getting mental health care for fear it will affect their ability to practice.
