Public officials in America, including New York's mayor, have urged people to stay indoors and to wear masks. Smoke is made up of a mixture of gases and also these small particles, which are produced by burning material. Some of these particles collectively are known as PM2.5 - because they're so tiny, can infiltrate deep into the lungs. This can be really bad for people with respiratory conditions like asthma or COPD.

He is expected to be charged for failing to return classified documents and obstructing justice. The former president denies wrongdoing, and any possible convictions are still a long way away, but how does this affect his election campaign? Wildfires raging across Canada are choking New Yorkers.
