Nvidia's Rise in the Chip Wars
There's been a lot of talk recently about how high-end semiconductor chips are exceedingly difficult to produce. This is exactly what makes export controls so effective, as the United States has applied on chip exports to China. Nvidia doesn't make its own chips; they're really an engineering services firm that works with other fabs. An individual Nvidia chip for a really high-end application can run to $10,000 plus per chip.
