Hamlet and the Grave Digger
Two clowns, a grave digger and a second man, enter. Hamlet asks if an unnamed she is to be buried in Christian burial when she, its heavily implied but not confirmed, committed suicide. Horatio responds that doing it so much has caused him to become indifferent. The skull inspires Hamlet to contemplate the transition from life to death. In death, even a person of great importance can be reduced to bones that a gravedigger might play with.
